Rayong Thailand

This project involved the development of a strategic oil storage and transportation facility in Thailand.

Challenges

The primary challenge was designing and implementing an efficient and safe storage and transportation infrastructure for crude oil, while adhering to both environmental and safety regulations. Additionally, GTS had to establish a strong partnership with a local partner, who was involved in sharing resources and responsibilities.

Our Approach

- Engineering

GTS began with a thorough analysis of the technical requirements and local conditions in Thailand. The design of the storage facility and transportation system focused on sustainability, safety, and efficiency.

- Procurement

GTS was responsible for the procurement of materials and technology, involving both local and international suppliers. This contributed to cost-effectiveness and compliance with local regulations.

- Construction

GTS led the entire construction process, including project management and coordination with the local partner. The focus was on meeting deadlines and minimizing disruptions to the surrounding environment.

Results

The project was successfully delivered within the specified time and budget. The new plant site ensures a safe and efficient transfer of crude oil and supports the growth of the energy sector in Thailand.

Conclusion

This case study demonstrates GTS’s full EPC capabilities, where complex technical challenges were overcome through careful planning, engineering, and collaboration. It also highlights GTS’s flexibility in working with international partners to safeguard the interests of all stakeholders involved.

Project Overview
